ABOUT THE PROJECT NewEra is building a smart retail ecosystem deployed in real production environments across supermarket chains and retail locations within a major partner ecosystem. Our products include: Retail Media Network (RMN) Digital advertising screens integrated with AI cameras to measure audience and attention, with campaign management, content distribution and performance reporting for brands. Vending Machine Automated fresh-food vending systems covering ordering, payment, cold-chain telemetry, inventory management and replenishment. Smart Cooler AI Computer-vision-powered smart coolers that recognize products and customer grab-and-go behavior, combined with automated payment. This is real production infrastructure running across distributed IoT devices, real payment transactions and real-time data — not a demo product.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Backend — 60%
- Build REST/gRPC APIs for admin applications, edge devices and partner integrations.
- Process analytics pipelines from AI camera events → aggregation → campaign performance reports.
- Ensure transaction accuracy and reconciliation with payment gateways. Frontend — 40%
- Build management dashboards for advertising CMS, device fleet monitoring, campaign reporting and inventory operations.
- Develop UI for advertising displays and vending machine devices when required. System & Engineering
- Work with the Tech Lead on architecture, API contracts and data models.
- Write technical documentation and unit tests for critical business logic such as payment and reconciliation.
- Collaborate with embedded/hardware teams to define device ↔ server protocols. REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of experience developing full-stack production systems.
- Strong backend experience with Node.js (NestJS) or Golang .
- Strong frontend experience with React/Next.js + TypeScript .
- Solid understanding of REST API design, OAuth2/JWT, rate limiting and idempotency.
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and Redis .
- Experience with message queues / event-driven systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ or MQTT .
- Proficient with Git, Docker, testing and CI/CD.
- Good system thinking and understanding of consistency/availability trade-offs.
- Experience designing systems that can handle unreliable networks, retries and distributed IoT devices. NICE TO HAVE
- Payment / fintech / e-wallet experience.
- AdTech / Retail Media Network experience.
- Experience with impression/attention measurement and campaign reporting.
- Experience integrating Edge AI, RKNN, Jetson or computer vision events.
- Android/Kotlin or WebView experience for signage devices.
- Experience with ERP integrations, inventory and order management. WHY THIS PROJECT?
