Project Manager

The Project Manager is responsible for managing product delivery with a structured focus on Delivery & Release Management (50%), Product Execution Support (30%), and Process Building (20%). A critical part of this role is to design development workflows from the ground up, establish performance metrics (aligning with management's AI-driven initiatives), and apply tactful change management to guide a historically unstructured team toward high operational efficiency without compromising morale. Role Focus: 50% Delivery & Release Management (Part A & B): Planning, tracking, cross-functional coordination, risk management, and release activities. 30% Product Execution Support (Part C): Requirement clarification, workflow analysis, PRD review, and UAT/go-live readiness. 20% Process Building & Performance Tracking (Part D): Building Agile/Scrum workflows from scratch, defining metrics, tool standardization, and driving change management gracefully.

Key Responsibilities
A. Delivery Planning & Coordination Build realistic delivery plans, break down work into sprints/milestones, and align effort estimates, dependencies, and clear ownership for each feature. Coordinate tasks across Engineering (Backend, Mobile, QA), Product/BA, and Design teams to ensure smooth progress and proactively unblock delivery hurdles. Facilitate sprint ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives) and systematically track follow-up action items. B. Tracking, Release & Risk Management (A & B account for 50%) Track actual progress against the delivery plan, sprint goals, milestones, and release scope. Identify, communicate, and mitigate delivery risks/issues early; escalate blockers with actionable solutions and clear ownership. Coordinate release activities and ensure timelines, feature scope, quality standards, deployment readiness, and rollout communication are fully aligned. C. Product Execution Support (30%) Clarify requirements with PO/PM and business stakeholders, ensuring scope, acceptance criteria, and expected outcomes are crystal clear before development starts. Analyze business workflows and user journeys to support feasible implementation and identify technical gaps or edge cases. Review PRDs and requirement specifications for completeness, consistency, and readiness for sprint planning. Coordinate UAT preparation, track feedback/defects, and validate go-live readiness. D. Process Building & Performance Tracking (20%) Process from Scratch: Act as a patient and strategic facilitator: spend the initial months observing the current technical culture before designing and rolling out tailored Agile/Scrum workflows. Change Management: Introduce new processes and metrics gradually and tactfully to avoid friction or pushback from a historically unstructured team environment. Data-driven Tracking: Define and track key team productivity metrics (e.g., sprint velocity, cycle time) to align with leadership's data-driven and AI-supported performance evaluation initiatives. Tool Standardization: Drive the adoption of Jira, Notion, Git, etc., to ensure transparent task management and individual performance visibility. Scope & Authority Own and manage the end-to-end delivery lifecycle of products under development. Have the authority to propose and implement necessary adjustments to workflows, timelines, or resource allocations to ensure release quality. Collaborate closely with POM/Product and effectively partner with Engineering Leads (managing the process while respecting their technical architecture decisions). RequirementsExperience & Hard Skills 3–5 years of experience as a Project Manager / Scrum Master in a software development environment. Solid hands-on experience working directly with Engineering teams (Backend, Mobile, QA). Strong, practical understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies with a proven track record of establishing development workflows from scratch. Balanced Technical Mindset: Solid understanding of technical workflows (APIs, system flow, architecture basics) to facilitate discussions effectively. Must have a Process/Business-first mindset and be able to collaborate smoothly with Tech Leads without overstepping into technical design decisions. Proficiency in project planning, risk management, PRD review, and configuring project management tools (Jira, Notion). Key Soft Skills & Persona High EQ, Empathy & Diplomacy: Ability to introduce structure, accountability, and metrics tactfully without making team members feel micromanaged or defensive. Strong Change Management: Proven ability to influence without formal authority and guide a team through cultural and operational transitions. Clear and effective communication, acting as an excellent bridge-builder between Management’s performance expectations and the Dev team's current mindset. Ability to stay composed, structured, and solutions-oriented under tight deadlines.
