SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Deadline: 22/11/2025

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Design for Mass Production

  • Lead mechanical design of wearable products for large-scale manufacturing.
  • Optimize design for manufacturability (DFM), cost, reliability, and user comfort.
  • Collaborate with ID, EE, FW, and system teams to ensure cohesive product integration.

2. Assembly Process & Fixture Design

  • Define and validate assembly processes and jigs/fixtures to support efficient production.
  • Design and improve fixtures/tools to ensure consistency, ease of use, and reduce human error.

3. Production Line Balancing & Troubleshooting

  • Analyze and improve line balancing to optimize productivity and task time.
  • Identify and resolve mechanical issues from EVT, DVT, to MP stages.
  • Support failure analysis (FA), root cause analysis (RCA), and continuous improvement.

4. Factory Collaboration

  • Work closely with domestic and overseas factories for tooling, pilot builds, and production ramp-up.
  • Ensure quality control through process audits, fixture validation, and mechanical inspection criteria.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, with at least 3 years in wearable or consumer electronics.
  • Proven experience bringing products from concept to mass production.

Required Skills

  • Strong mechanical design and DFM knowledge for plastic, metal, and elastomer components.
  • Hands-on experience with 3D CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo).
  • Experience with fixture/jig design, line balancing, and process validation.
  • Able to work cross-functionally and manage communication between R&D and the factory.
  • Familiar with reliability testing (drop, sweat, bend, etc.) and IP sealing considerations.
