Position: Counselling Team Leader – USA Market

Report to: Counselling Manager/Deputy Director

1. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.1. Counseling

  • Counseling prospective students and their families regarding study opportunities overseas.

  • Providing prospective students and their parents with initial counselling about U.S. institution selection, admission requirements, scholarship and any matter in regards to studying in the USA.

  • Providing assistance in visa application, welfare arrangement in seminars.

  • Conducting mock visa interviews for students.

  • Following up student applications and keeping students informed on the outcome of institution offers and visa applications.

  • Maintaining good rapport to students, their families and partner institutions and the visa offices.

  • Assisting new students with airport pickup and accommodation arrangement if needed

  • Completing other duties assigned by direct manager.

1.2. Management

  • Proposing business strategies to help achieve the target for U.S. market.

  • Working with U.S. institutions in terms of agent applications, agent agreements and agent portal, information updates.

  • Training new and existing staff and providing them with updates on U.S. market.

  • Assisting counsellors with admission and visa applications.

  • Handling inquiries from students, parents and counsellors.

  • Providing information, updates and contact details on institutions to Marketing team for promotion and advertisement.

  • Conducting seminars for prospective students and parents.

  • Attend meeting with senior staff from Institutions

  • Support ECs to follow up offers/I-20 if needed

  • Having conversion session with ECs upon request

  • Handle minor issues/complaints if any

  • Reporting ECs' performance to manager

2. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • University degree holder

  • Very Good Command of English – equivalent IELTS overall score of 6.0 or above

  • At least 3 years counselling experience in USA education
