ABOUT JOB

WATA Software is looking for a Java Microservice Developer to join our client's long-term project in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City.

The project focuses on developing, maintaining, and enhancing scalable microservice-based systems for enterprise-grade applications in the insurance domain.

You will collaborate closely with both local and international teams to deliver high-quality, secure, and efficient backend services..

JOB DESCRIPTION

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices for large-scale enterprise systems.
  • Collaborate with front-end and DevOps teams to integrate APIs and ensure system scalability and performance.
  • Participate in the architecture and design of new features, applying best practices for code quality, reusability, and performance.
  • Implement unit testing, perform code reviews, and support continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD).
  • Troubleshoot production issues, analyze root causes, and propose sustainable technical solutions.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to improving overall team performance.
  • Work closely with Product Owner and QA teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.

REQUIREMENT

  • 3+ years of experience in backend development using Java (Spring Boot).
  • Strong expertise in Microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
  • Solid understanding of OOP, Design Patterns, and Clean Code principles.
  • Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar).
  • Proficient in using Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS / GCP / Azure.
  • Experience with message queues or event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.) is a strong plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with hands-on experience in Agile development environments.
