JOB SUMMARY

  • Our client is a multinational furniture sourcing company.
  • The Supplier Quality Manager will lead continuous improvement initiatives within the quality department, focusing on process optimization, supplier performance, and team development. This role collaborates with the US office and cross-functional teams to set goals, ensure compliance with quality standards, and drive efficiency across operations. The ideal candidate is hands-on, analytical, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • The Supplier Quality Manager oversees quality operations across multiple vendors and leads a structured team comprising Continuous Improvement (CI) Engineers and Quality Controllers (QCs). CI staff report directly to the Supplier Quality Manager, while QCs report to CI. The team is responsible for monitoring product launch schedules and ensuring production quality at all assigned vendor facilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the QA/QC team, set clear goals and KPIs, and ensure alignment with US office.
  • Oversee vendor quality operations, monitor product launches, and ensure compliance with Ashley standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, streamline processes, and implement effective SOPs.
  • Utilize QIS and Dominator systems, provide feedback for system enhancement, and deliver team training.
  • Manage supplier performance, handle customer complaints, and ensure timely corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and factories to uphold consistent quality standards.
  • Analyze quality data and trends to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support new product launches and provide practical CI and quality training to teams and suppliers.
  • Foster team development and maintain strong performance in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (Engineering or Operations Management preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years in Quality and Continuous Improvement, with strong knowledge of process optimization and QA tools.
  • At least 3 years in a managerial or team leadership role.
  • Proficient in CI tools and methodologies (PDCA, A3, Kaizen, VSM, 6S, Standard Work).
  • Strong understanding of quality systems, process mapping, and KPI management.
  • Skilled in problem-solving, data analysis, and project management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; able to work independently and handle complex vendor/customer issues professionally.
