Product Development Scientist

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

(a) Product Development:

  • Develop and optimize formulations for new and existing products.
  • Conduct laboratory experiments, pilot trials, and scale-up activities.
  • Familiarity with sensory evaluation and shelf-life studies.
  • Collaborate with Rich's Global team to lift and adapt for local needs, ensuring customer satisfaction and leading market trends in Vietnam.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and scientific advancements.

(b) Project Management:

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
  • Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Work with suppliers to identify new solutions and source innovative ingredients to ensure the highest product quality.

(c) Quality & Compliance:

  • Ensure all products comply with internal quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of formulations, processes, and test results.

(d) Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with Marketing, Sale team, Operations, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory teams.
  • Provide technical support during product launches and troubleshooting.
  • Able to travel up to 25% of the time.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

(a) Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in food technology or related engineering field required
  • 2–5 years of experience in food product development or R&D in the food or beverage industry.

(b) Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of formulation science and processing technologies.
  • Proficient in data analysis and technical documentation.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
  • Proficient in English, with strong reading, writing, and speaking skills. Able to communicate effectively with regional and WHQ associates under the supervision of a manager
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other related software.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance (e.g., FDA, ISO, HACCP) is a plus.
