Job description:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional to lead our Japanese Desk and drive the growth of our services, including Accounting, Audit, Tax, Legal, and Financial Advisory Services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and expanding our client base across these service lines.

Market Research:

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, potential clients, and emerging opportunities in the industry.
  • Analyze competitors, benchmark market offerings, and define unique selling propositions (USPs).

New Business Development:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to attract new clients.
  • Generate leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking, referrals, and social media.
  • Qualify leads and prioritize prospects to ensure effective support and maximize conversion rates.
  • Create and publish marketing and business development content in coordination with internal teams.
  • Meet and exceed revenue and performance goals set by the company.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, understanding their needs and challenges.
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through excellent communication, service quality, and responsiveness.

Proposal and Presentation:

  • Collaborate with technical teams to customize solutions and pricing according to client requirements.
  • Clearly communicate the value proposition of our tailored service offerings.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare regular reports on business development activities, performance, and market trends.
  • Use data-driven insights to refine business strategies and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Accountancy, Taxation, or Law
  • Native Japanese speaker with fluent English; other languages are an advantage.
  • At least 5 years of experience in financial services or a related industry, with exposure to business development.
  • Strong understanding of financial services, industry trends, and regulatory environments.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive, results-oriented mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
