Senior .NET AWS Cloud Engineer

The role
The Cloud Migration Engineer will be responsible for designing, planning, and executing application and infrastructure migrations to the AWS Cloud. The role requires strong technical knowledge in .NET Core, AWS services, and modernization practices, with hands-on experience in CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and infrastructure as code. The ideal candidate will work closely with developers, DevOps, and system teams to ensure smooth, secure, and efficient cloud adoption.

What You'll Be Doing

• Plan, design, and implement migration of on-premise .NET Core applications to AWS Cloud.
• Assess existing systems and recommend modernization approaches (e.g., microservices, containerization, serverless).
• Develop migration runbooks and automation scripts for repeatable deployments.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI/CD, AWS CodePipeline).
• Configure and manage AWS services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, Lambda, S3, EFS, and CloudWatch.
• Work with development teams to refactor or re-platform applications for cloud compatibility.
• Ensure adherence to cloud security, compliance, and cost optimization best practices.
• Troubleshoot cloud deployment and integration issues.
• Collaborate with DevOps to implement infrastructure as code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
• Provide technical documentation and knowledge transfer to application and operations teams.

Technical Skills
What you bring to the team

• Strong understanding of .NET Core / ASP.NET Core architecture and codebase.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services (ECS/EKS, RDS, Lambda, S3, VPC, CloudWatch, IAM, etc.).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI/CD preferred).
• Familiar with containerization (Docker) and Kubernetes concepts.
• Knowledge of Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Experience in cloud-native modernization, including microservices, serverless, or API-driven architectures.
• Understanding of networking, security groups, and IAM within AWS.

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Proactive in identifying optimization and automation opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure/AWS Developer or DevOps Engineer (added advantage).
• Experience with automated testing, SonarQube, and monitoring tools
