Job Description:
The Laboratory Technician (Chromatography) at BVAQ Food Laboratory is responsible for the preparation of 
samples and the operation of chromatography equipment, including GC-MSMS, GC-FID, and other assigned tasks. 
This role is crucial in ensuring the accurate and reliable analysis of food samples for quality and safety 
assessments.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Sample Preparation:
Prepare food samples for analysis using established protocols and procedures.
Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of samples to maintain sample integrity.
2. Chromatography Analysis:
Operate chromatography instruments, including GC-MSMS, GC-FID, HPLC, and LC-MSMS, to analyze food
samples for the presence of contaminants, residues, or other substances.
Perform routine maintenance and calibration of chromatography equipment to ensure optimal performance and
data accuracy.
3. Data Analysis and Reporting:
Analyze chromatography data and interpret results accurately.
Prepare analytical reports documenting findings and observations.
Collaborate with other laboratory staff to review and verify analytical results as needed.
4. Quality Control and Assurance:
Adhere to quality control measures and protocols to ensure the reliability and accuracy of analytical data.
Participate in proficiency testing programs and internal audits to assess laboratory performance and compliance
with regulatory requirements.
5. Safety and Compliance:
Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards governing laboratory operations and analytical
techniques.

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

Graduated from the University of Chemical Technology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Chemistry.
Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of chromatography principles and techniques.
Proficiency in operating GC-MSMS, GC-FID, HPLC, and LC-MSMS instruments with more than 1 year of
experience.
Ability to troubleshoot instrument issues and perform routine maintenance tasks.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and quality assurance practices is preferred.
