Content Writer

The school now has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Content Writer to join our fantastic team.

Position Objective

The Content Writer plays a key role in shaping ISHCMC's storytelling across internal and external communication channels. This position focuses on crafting engaging, authentic, and on-brand content that celebrates the ISHCMC community, enhances visibility, and supports the school's strategic objectives.

Working closely with the Communications & Community Engagement Team, the Content Writer contributes to newsletters, social media, Rhino Hub, the ISHCMC website, digital campaigns, and event communications - ensuring consistent tone, clarity, and impact in every message shared.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Strategy

Write, edit, and proofread engaging content for newsletters, social media, website, marketing campaigns, and event communications.

Support storytelling initiatives that highlight student achievements, staff excellence, and community impact.

Maintain consistency in ISHCMC's tone of voice, language, and brand messaging across all channels.

Collaborate with the design and multimedia teams to bring stories to life through visuals, video, and digital formats.

Contribute ideas for ongoing storytelling campaigns, brand initiatives, and engagement projects.

Editorial Support

Assist in planning the weekly newsletter and event communications calendar.

Support leadership and academic teams with proofreading and refining written communication.

Help develop internal content guidelines and editorial templates for faculty and staff.

Digital Communications

Work closely with the Communications team to publish and update content on Bloomz, Rhino Hub, and the ISHCMC website.

Support SEO optimization and analytics reporting for web and campaign performance when applicable.

Community & Event Support

Cover school and community events through photography, captions, and post-event write-ups.

Support the creation of scripts, blurbs, and speeches for major school occasions.

Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in content writing, copywriting, or editorial work (experience in education or international organizations preferred).

Strong command of written English, with attention to tone, grammar, and clarity.

Excellent organizational and time management skills; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Familiarity with digital content platforms (Google Workspace, Mailchimp, Canva, Bloomz, HubSpot, or WordPress preferred).

A creative mindset and a passion for community storytelling.
