Chinese Business Development Manager

This position serves as the Chinese Business Development Manager responsible for developing and managing all Greater China region customers within Vietnam. The role requires leading strategic business development initiatives, maintaining key client relationships, and driving revenue growth from Chinese nterprises operating in or trading with Vietnam. This position wil be accountable for:
- Developing and executing comprehensive business development strategies targeting Chinese enterprises in Vietnam
- Managing the complete sales cycle from prospecting to contract closure for all Chinese market clients
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers in Chinese companies
- Identifying market opportunities and competitive intelligence within the Chinese business community
- Coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure exceptional service delivery to Chinese clients
- Achieving revenue targets and growth objectives for the Chinese market segment
- Representing the company at Chinese business forums, trade associations, and networking events
- Providing market insights and strategic recommendations to the Sales & Marketing Director
- This role requires deep understanding of Chinese business culture, excellent relationship-building capabilities, and proven track record in B2B sales and account management within the logistics or customs consulting industry
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Business Development & Sales
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to penetrate the Chinese market in Vietnam
- Identify, qualify, and acquire new Chinese enterprise clients across various industries
- Build robust sales pipeline and manage opportunities through systematic CRM tracking
- Conduct client presentations, negotiations, and contract closures
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets for Chinese market segment
- Develop competitive pricing strategies aligned with market conditions and company objectives
2. Account Management & Client Relations
- Serve as primary point of contact for all Chinese key accounts
- Maintain regular engagement with C-level executives and decision-makers in client organizations
- Conduct quarterly business reviews with strategic accounts
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts
- Monitor client satisfaction and proactively address concerns or issues
- Ensure seamless service delivery through coordination with operations teams
3. Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Monitor Chinese business community activities, investments, and market trends in Vietnam
- Analyze competitor activities and develop counter-strategies
- Provide market feedback and insights to inform service development
- Identify emerging opportunities in specific industries or business segments
- Participate in strategic planning and contribute to company growth initiatives
4. Stakeholder Management
- Build strong networks within Chinese business associations and chambers of commerce
- Represent company at relevant industry events, trade fairs, and networking functions
- Collaborate with Korean and Vietnamese business development teams for cross-selling opportunities
- Work closely with operations and customer service teams to ensure client satisfaction
- Report regularly to Sales & Marketing Director on business performance, pipeline, and market insights
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM system
- Prepare detailed sales forecasts and performance reports
- Document client requirements, service agreements, and special arrangements
- Develop case studies and success stories for marketing purposes
SKILLS REQUIRED
Language & Communication
- Native or fluent proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (speaking, reading, writing)
- Professional proficiency in English for internal communication and reporting
- Vietnamese language skills are highly advantageous
- Exceptional presentation and negotiation skills
- Strong written communication abilities for proposals and business correspondence

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Marketing, or related field
- Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) is preferred
Professional Experience
- Minimum 5-7 years of proven B2B sales experience, with at least 3 years specifically managing Chinese clients
- Experience in freight forwarding, customs brokerage, logistics, or supply chain consulting strongly preferred
- Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
- Experience managing key accounts with revenues exceeding $500K annually
- Background in cross-border trade or international business development is advantageous
