Epicure – Vietnam's leading premium distributor of coffee, kitchen, and lifestyle solutions – is seeking a General Accountant to join our finance team in Ho Chi Minh City.

Preparing Financial Statements:

• This includes balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements to provide a clear picture of the company's financial status.
• Conducting monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
• Checking for accuracy and conformity to statutory requirements and accounting principles.

Tax Compliance:

• Preparing and submitting tax documents, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
• Staying updated on tax laws: Keeping abreast of changes in federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Responding to tax inquiries: Handling inquiries from tax authorities and assisting in tax audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Maintaining tax records: Keeping detailed records of all tax-related documents and transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Tax provision schedules: Preparing and updating tax provision schedules to reflect current tax obligations.
• Audit coordination: Coordinating audits by various taxation authorities and implementing audit findings to improve tax processes.
• Research and documentation: Researching tax issues and documenting findings to support tax positions and decisions.

Management Accounting:

• Checking for accuracy and conformity to statutory requirements and accounting principles.
• Accuracy verification: Ensuring that all financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement, are accurate and free from errors. This involves cross-checking figures and ensuring that all entries are correctly recorded.
• Compliance check: Verifying that the financial statements comply with relevant accounting standards (VAS) and regulatory requirements. This ensures that the financial reporting is consistent and reliable.
• Identifying discrepancies: Detecting any discrepancies or irregularities in the financial statements. This could include unusual patterns or anomalies that might indicate errors, fraud, or financial mismanagement.
• Financial ratio analysis: Using financial ratios and metrics to analyze the financial health of the organization. Ratios like the current ratio, quick ratio, and debt to equity ratio provide insights into liquidity, solvency and overall financial stability.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with accounting principles.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Participate in the budgeting process by analyzing financial data, monitoring expenses, and providing insights for budget development and financial forecasting.

Monitor daily cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts

: overseeing the organization's cash flow management processes, ensuring that the company has sufficient liquidity to meet its operational needs.

Must have:

Educational background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, or related fields.

· Experience: At least 5 years in a general accountant or equivalent role.

· Preference for candidates with an understanding of cost structure, experience in Tech companies and involvement in tax-related tasks.

· Knowledge: Proficient in Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS, IFRS) and tax regulation.

· Languages: Basic English communication skills and ability to work with English documents.

· Software skills: Proficient in accounting software (Misa, ERP, etc.) and office applications (Excel, Word).

Prefer:

· Certifications in accounting and tax.

· Experience with new set up company and young working environment.

· Familiarity with start-up company.
