About the Opportunity

Accounting Works is assisting one of our client companies — a professional consulting firm in Hanoi — in recruiting a
Senior Consultant (Accounting & Tax)
.

This position offers a great opportunity to work in an international consulting environment, providing accounting and tax advisory services to corporate clients and collaborating closely with Japanese managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide accounting, tax, labor, and licensing consulting services to clients
  • Prepare and review financial statements and tax reports (VAT, PIT, CIT, FCT)
  • Advise clients on compliance and best practices in accounting and tax
  • Coach and support junior staff in service delivery
  • Communicate with Japanese clients through meetings, reports, and emails

Requirements

  • Japanese language ability equivalent to JLPT N2 or higher (used in client communication)
  • At least 6 years of experience at an accounting or consulting firm
  • Strong knowledge of Vietnamese accounting and tax practices
  • (Preferred) Professional certifications such as CPA, CTA, Chief Accountant, or Boki

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: USD 1,500 – 2,500 (Gross)
  • Bonus: fixed (1 month) + performance-based bonus
  • Allowances: commuting (30,000 VND/km), business trip, workers' compensation insurance
  • Work-from-home support for electricity and phone expenses
  • Office located in central Hanoi
