Database Administrator (DBA)
to expertly install, configure, optimize, secure, and maintain our critical database systems. This role is vital for ensuring the integrity, performance, and availability of the extensive, sensitive data that underpins our commitment to healthcare and logistics service excellence.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Database System Management:
Install, configure, optimize, and operate critical database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) that power our distribution, warehousing, and transport services.

Data Reliability & Recovery:
Establish and rigorously monitor backup and restore procedures for all operational data, ensuring the continuous availability and integrity of sensitive healthcare logistics information.

Security & Compliance:
Implement and maintain stringent data security measures, including access permissions, robust security mechanisms, and comprehensive access logging, to protect confidential healthcare and operational data.

Performance Excellence:
Conduct proactive performance monitoring, analyze, and optimize complex queries and database indexing to ensure rapid data access crucial for efficient logistics and real-time operations.

Development Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with our software development team to design efficient data structures and develop effective scripts and stored procedures that enhance our core business applications.

Proactive Troubleshooting:
Swiftly troubleshoot and resolve system errors, addressing issues such as slow queries or service interruptions to minimize impact on our critical healthcare supply chain.

Data Integrity Assurance:
Ensure the highest level of data integrity by controlling duplicate data, preventing data loss, and managing invalid data locks through the application of constraints and normalization, vital for accurate inventory and distribution records.

BI & Analytics Support:
Provide essential support for Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Warehouse initiatives, assisting with secure data connection and preparation for analytical and reporting systems that drive strategic decisions in healthcare logistics.

REQUIREMENTS

To excel in this role at GONSA, we are looking for a professional with:

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience working as a DBA or in data-related roles.
  • University degree in IT, Information Systems, or related fields.
  • Having CSDL administration certifications (MCSA SQL, Oracle DBA, PostgreSQL, MongoDB...) is a plus.

Professional Skills:

  • Proficient in SQL (SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY, CTE, Window Function…).
  • Administering CSDL management systems (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle...).
  • Knowledge of index optimization (indexing), query plans, transactions.
  • Understanding of relational data models (ERD, normal forms).
