JOB OVERVIEW

• Develop, integrate, and validate embedded software for Transmission Control Units (TCU) within the Powertrain Domain (ICE, HEV, and EV platforms). The engineer will design control algorithms, implement AUTOSAR-compliant software components, perform calibration and testing, and support domain controller or SDV migration (PDC/HPC).

RESPONSIBILITIES

Software Design & Development

• Design and implement TCU control algorithms (shift control, clutch control, torque converter, gear scheduling, torque coordination with engine ECU, thermal & pressure management).
• Develop AUTOSAR Classic SWCs using model-based or hand-coded approaches (MATLAB/Simulink, C/C++).
• Configure and integrate BSW modules (COM, OS, DCM, DEM, IO).
• Develop and tune shift strategies, torque coordination and adaptive learning logic.
• Implement real-time control loops (1–10 ms) for solenoids, sensors, and actuators.
• Integrate CAN, FlexRay, or Ethernet communication for coordination with Engine ECU, MCU, and Powertrain Domain Controller.

Software Integration

• Integrate TCU software with Engine ECU, Vehicle Control Unit (VCU), or Powertrain Domain Controller (PDC).
• Perform AUTOSAR RTE integration, calibration parameter mapping, and version management.
• Use Vector DaVinci, EB Tresos, or Arctic Core tools for configuration and build.
• Conduct model-in-the-loop (MiL), software-in-the-loop (SiL), and hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) validation.

Functional Safety & Cybersecurity

• Apply ISO ASIL C/D) principles in software architecture and implementation.
• Conduct FMEA/FMEDA, safety mechanism verification, and safe-state management.
• Implement secure communication, secure boot, and diagnostic security (UDS/SOVD) per ISO 21434.

Diagnostics & Calibration

• Implement UDS (ISO and OBD-II diagnostics services for transmission functions.
• Calibrate gearshift maps, clutch pressure, and torque converter parameters.
• Analyze DTCs, event memory, and vehicle logs using CANape, INCA, or CANalyzer.

Testing & Validation

• Develop and execute unit, integration, and functional tests.
• Perform HiL tests with transmission models and vehicle simulation.
• Verify timing, memory footprint, and CPU load compliance.
• Participate in test automation using Python, CAPL, or Robot frameworks.

SDV & Next-Gen Integration

• Support migration of legacy TCU functions into Powertrain Domain Controller (PDC) or Vehicle Motion HPC.
• Develop Adaptive AUTOSAR applications and service-oriented interfaces (SOME/IP, DDS).
• Enable OTA and SOVD functionality for software update and remote diagnostics.
• Collaborate with cloud/backend teams for digital twin, AI-based shift optimization, and predictive maintenance features.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Automotive Engineering.
• 5–8 years experience in Autosar/embedded software development for powertrain or transmission systems.
• Solid understanding of control theory, real-time systems, and vehicle dynamics.
• Good communication in EN/JP

Preferred Experience

• Transmission software for AT, DCT, CVT, or e-Axle systems.
• Hybrid/EV torque coordination with Engine & Motor ECUs.
• Familiarity with Powertrain Domain Controller, Vehicle Motion HPC, or Zonal ECU architectures.
• Exposure to AI-based predictive shift control or cloud-connected calibration.
