Overall Purpose

Provide technical support and management of internal SCC, Data Centre Services, and customer server infrastructures, including operating systems, virtualization, and Exchange environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain infrastructure to meet agreed service levels.
  • Manage incidents, problems, and authorized changes (including CAB participation).
  • Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues.
  • Maintain and update technical documentation.
  • Conduct scheduled maintenance, patching, and upgrades.
  • Collaborate on continuous improvement across datacentre platforms.
  • Log and escalate issues with third-party vendors (e.g., Microsoft, VMware, Citrix).
  • Support project delivery and ensure solutions align with customer requirements.
  • Act as escalation point for major incidents.
  • Support service acceptance for new implementations and upgrades.
  • May be required to occasionally to fill in single shifts on managed services shift roster.

Essential Skills & Experience

3–5 years
supporting enterprise clients across at least two of these areas:

  • Virtualization (vCenter, vSphere, ESXi, etc.)
  • End-user VDI (XenApp, VMware Horizon, etc.)
  • Microsoft Server & AD (DNS, GPO, DHCP)
  • SCCM, Anti-virus, Web filtering, Encryption solutions
  • Exchange / Office 365
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in complex, multi-site environments.
  • Experience using Service Desk tools.
  • Strong English communication skills (written & verbal).
  • Customer-facing experience and documentation skills.

Desirable

  • ITIL certification or knowledge.
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience in multi-client or managed service environments.
