Overview Of The Role
The PFS Business Management Head is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, operational efficiency, and overall business performance of the Personal Financial Services (PFS) division at UOB Vietnam. This role will drive key initiatives, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure the achievement of business objectives while adhering to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Job Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Develop and implement strategic business plans for the PFS division in alignment with UOB Vietnam's overall corporate strategy.
- Identify market opportunities and competitive threats, proposing innovative solutions and strategies to enhance business growth and market share.
- Drive the execution of key business initiatives, projects, and product launches within PFS, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
Performance Management & Reporting
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the PFS division, analyzing performance trends and recommending corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare comprehensive business performance reports for senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and future outlook.
- Manage the PFS budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets.
Operational Excellence & Process Improvement
- Oversee the operational efficiency of PFS processes, identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvements to enhance customer experience and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant banking regulations, internal policies, and risk management frameworks.
- Lead and participate in cross-functional projects aimed at streamlining operations and improving service delivery.
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Act as a key liaison between the PFS division and other internal departments (e.g., Marketing, Product, Technology, Risk, Operations).
- Foster strong relationships with external partners, vendors, and regulatory bodies as required.
- Communicate business strategies, objectives, and performance updates effectively to the PFS team and senior management.
Team Leadership & Development
- Provide strong leadership and guidance to the PFS business management team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Mentor and develop team members, identifying training needs and opportunities for professional growth.
Education
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is highly preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in the banking or financial services industry, with at least 5 years in a senior business management or leadership role within Personal Financial Services.
- Proven track record of successfully developing and executing business strategies, driving growth, and achieving financial targets.
- Extensive experience in managing complex projects and cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with the Vietnamese banking market and regulatory landscape is a significant advantage.
Skills
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels.
- Sound understanding of retail banking products, services, and customer segments.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English and Vietnamese (both written and spoken) is essential.
