The Field Services Engineer II (FSE-II) is responsible for configuring, installing, and testing DASAN products and providing training and on-site support for DASAN customers during Professional Service sessions or during extended periods in a Resident Engineer role. The FSE must be an expert on the products that are supported by this role including DASAN OLT, ONT's, CPE, Switches and Management Software applications. The FSE will work closely with sales engineers, technical support, project stakeholders and on-site technicians to complete projects efficiently. The FSE role is a professional services level position where assignments are designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities. The role requires the ability to perform Engineering task for major customer projects with little or no oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsivity to technical implementation/ customer assigned
  • Implement scheduling and delivery of professional services to DASAN customers
  • Respond to internal and external customer inquiries concerning Professional Services
  • Provide quotes and detailed scope of work documentation for Professional Services
  • Provide on-site and remote Professional Services as defined by the scope of work
  • Provide system commissioning and provisioning services as defined by scope of work.
  • Provide on-site and remote training as defined by the scope of work
  • Must understand critical customer requests with reading the impacts and urgency accurately and timely.
  • Coordinate software release plan with customer and corresponding department (RND, PA, Sales, TAC team members).
  • Provide accurate and timely updates regarding resolution plan and schedule to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver documentation of problem description and findings to appropriate escalation point. (Examples: RND, PA, Executive escalation)
  • Create and review customer-specific documents and guides based on customer requirements.
  • Follow all DNS internal system (DIVA, BMS, NSS, work flow)
  • Work with Partners and Sales to develop and grow the Professional Services program within DASAN

Key Qualifications:

  • Engineering Degree in related field, preferably in Electronics & communication,

computer science or CCNA/CCNP with Bachelor's degree.

  • 3-5 years related professional experience
  • Understanding of packet-based networks including: OSI 7 Layer, Ethernet, MAC, IP, TCP, UDP, etc.
  • Switching and routing knowledge: VLAN, Unicast, Mulitcast, Broadcast, STP, ARP, Static and Dynamic routing
  • DSL network knowledge: ADSL2+ and VDSL
  • Optical network knowledge: GPON, Active Ethernet, and optical network characteristics
  • Subscriber side network knowledge: residential gateway, NAT, WiFi, DHCP, etc
  • OA Tools: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, etc
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong interpersonal working skills
  • Able to balance customer demands with internal business requirements
  • Program language is advance like Python, robot…
  • Willing to travel domestically and overseas
