Responsibilities

• Collaborate with solution architects and product owners to refine technical requirements and translate them into solid system designs.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented Java code, following best practices, design principles, and code standards.
• Develop and maintain backend systems using Java (Java 8+), Spring Boot, Hibernate, and modern Java frameworks.
• Build robust RESTful APIs and ensure seamless integration with front-end applications and third-party services.
• Conduct thorough code reviews, mentor junior developers, and promote knowledge sharing within the team.
• Debug complex issues and provide reliable, long-term solutions.
• Continuously optimize system performance, scalability, and security.
• Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle: planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Take part in Agile processes (Scrum/Kanban), including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Requirements

Must have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of Java backend development experience, including 2+ years at senior level.
• Proficiency in Java 8+, Spring Boot, and Hibernate/JPA.
• Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Strong grasp of OOP, design patterns, and clean coding practices.
• Solid SQL skills with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL); familiarity with NoSQL is a plus.
• Proficient in version control tools like Git, and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative Agile environment.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar container tools.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of message brokers like Kafka, RabbitMQ.
• Certifications in Java or related technologies (OCP, OCM).
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (React, Angular) is a plus.
