Responsibilities/ Daily tasks you will take care

FPT Software is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Solution Architect to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing solutions, architecture and infrastructure, as well as supporting and guiding the development efforts of robust and scalable Java-based applications using Liferay DXP platform. As a Solution Architect, you will play a key role in leading and mentoring a team of developers while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

Below are some of the responsibilities a Solution Architect is expected to undertake in their position:

  • Architect and develop high-performance and scalable Java-based Liferay applications based on business requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership in the design and implementation of complex software solutions.
  • Collaborate with the developers to define best practices and coding standards.
  • Providing guidance and mentoring to foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Share knowledge and expertise with team members to enhance overall skill levels.
  • Engage in full-stack development, including front-end and back-end components for customer's Proof of Concept (PoC) and mini projects to guarantee the feasibility of the designed solution.
  • Design solution for integrations with third-party systems, APIs, and databases.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration across different modules and services.
  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks in the application code.
  • Implement optimizations for speed, scalability, and responsiveness.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring the stability and reliability of the software.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, architecture diagrams, and deployment guides.
  • Document coding standards, best practices, and procedures for the development team.

Requirements/ Desired skills and experience

  • Have at least 5 years of hands-on experience with Java and common framework like Spring, Hibernate, J2EE
  • Good understanding of software development life-cycle
  • Be able to create and understand software design documents
  • Be able to create architecture solution diagrams and estimate development efforts for the proposed solution
  • Experience with GIT and build tools like Maven, Gradle
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure from Amazon (AWS) or Google (GCP)
  • Be able to communicate clearly in English or Japanese
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Be able to do Devops task is a plus but not mandatory
  • A certification in Liferay for practitioner or developer is a bonus but not mandatory
