Role & Responsibilities:
Position Definition:

Partner with Brands, Product Supply and Vendors throughout product development cycle to establish and ensure product is fit for purpose as well as compatible for bulk production at allocated manufacturing site. Manage 2D/ 3D instructional management system, design, and revamp both new and established learning models. Evaluate instructional materials and implement feedback from program reviews. With highly in-depth 2D/ 3D tools skills for 3D product/ pattern development and apparel technical design as well as to train others in the tools and training program delivery.

Execute 3D models through modelling and/or simulating various products covering apparel. Train global brands, vendors, and 3rd party partners on the 3D creation processes and 2D/ 3D patternmaking, i.e., training new staff, factory partners, material suppliers, and contractors. Assist global brands in the product creation process, bringing concepts to life in 3D through 3D modeling to training of internal and external parties. Explore and recommend apparel construction methods. Engage design, merchandising, product development, technical design, sourcing, sales, and marketing to develop and implement 3D Digital Product Creation processes and capabilities with a focus on products development and fit & pattern.

Consult with global brands and factories on ways to transition and implement a digital product development process, which includes the implementation of foundational standards and libraries. Champions the development and delivery of web-based and face-to-face professional 3D development programs, and advance effective uses of technology in all modes of instruction. This individual will be responsible for developing instructional materials for 3D digital product creation in collaboration with team members across teams in Digital Product Creation to ensure relevant and current case studies are being developed and used for effective implementation. Collaborate with other DPC team members and contribute to an innovation-minded team for VF Corporation

Key Result Areas:

• Assist global brand in the product creation process, bringing concepts to life in 3D. Explore and recommend apparel construction methods.
• Execute 3D models through modelling and/ or simulating various products covering apparel construction methods.
• Develop appropriate digital tools and methods to sustain improvements across the organization.
• Develop materials and libraries for Digital Product Creation projects.
• Train others on technical 2D/ 3D tools and how to deliver instructional material. Train global brands, vendors, and 3rd party partners on the 3D product development processes, i.e., training new staff, factory partners, material suppliers, and contractors.
• Resolve complex problems which are non-routine and may require initiation of contacts to analyze and discuss issues that impact regional cross-functional teams.
• Identify, scope, resource, and execute large-scale cross-functional projects aimed to achieve strategic goals.
• Work with manufacturing department managers and team members to define the implementation strategies for continuous improvement within DPC.
• Support policy deployment activities to define strategic objectives and metrics for the organization.
• Support strategic initiatives, perform analyses and communicate learnings and insights across internal and external stakeholders.
• Own key performance metrics and accountable for short and medium-term targets of DPC.
• Support and help coordinate the work of junior members of the Digital Integration Services team.
• Analyze and evaluate new instructional tools and technologies and recommend appropriate tools and approaches to improve course design, development and delivery.
• Provide reports and recommends areas of improvement for the work processes and programs in DPC.

• Possess the ability to deliver a high level of interactive customer service, develop and maintain collaborative, professional relationships inside and outside of DPC.

• Leads best practices and standards documentation for 2D/ 3D product creation. Consult with global brands and factories on ways to transition and implement a digital process including the creations of foundational standards and libraries.

• Engage stakeholders in design, merchandising, product development, technical design, sourcing, sales, and marketing to develop and implement 3D Digital Product Creation processes and capabilities.
• Collaborate with other DPC team members and build an innovation-minded team that can be the DPC Centre of Excellence for all of VF Corporation.

Functional Competencies –

• Highly capable using core digital creation software, such as, Browzwear, Clo, Lectra, Gerber etc.
• High level of Proficiency in the following is a plus: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and similar programs
• High Proficiency with business computer software such as, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Experience in using DPC tools with suppliers (Factories, Material Vendors) is preferred
• Experience in working with Apparel product creation teams in a digital product creation capacity is highly preferred
• Understanding of the retail product creation process is highly preferred
• Prioritize efficiently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, as well as proactively solving problems.
• Able to work independently, as well as work as a team member, and possess excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Familiarity with classroom technologies and other productivity and multimedia software are also required.
• Stakeholders' engagement at all levels within a diverse, multi-cultural, collaborative environment

Experience
Minimum Relevant Experience:

• Highly Competent with minimally 3-5 years in 3D Apparel simulation software including Browzwear and/ or Clo.
• Highly Competent in 3D rendering tools and the ability to create visuals to VF brand requirements.
• Highly Competent in 2D patternmaking and software including Gerber and/ or Lectra.
• Hands on experience and proficiency in Excel, Tableau and PPT.
• Experience in delivering 3D instructional materials effectively to engage regional stakeholders with varying levels of knowledge and skills in the industry.
• Minimum Supervisory Experience: Leading complex teams and organizations.

Nature of Work:
Problem-solving and project work which requires creative thinking, deep expertise with 2D patternmaking and 3D modeling tools and engineering fields and effective people management skills sets.

Academic Qualifications
Minimum Degree Held: University Degree, Bachelor level

Subject Expert In: 3D Modeling/Product Creation, Apparel Patternmaking, Apparel Technical Design, Project Management

Specific Working Conditions
Frequency of Travel: As required

Other Specific Working Conditions: Verbal & Written Mandarin Language proficiency preferred.
