1. Job Summary

The Finance & Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing statutory accounting (VAS), tax compliance, and financial reporting activities for the Vietnam entity. This role ensures full compliance with local accounting standards (VAS), Vietnam tax regulations, and internal policies of the multinational group. The position also partners with regional/global finance teams to support audits, internal controls, business planning, and operational efficiency across logistics & transportation operations.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Statutory Accounting (VAS) & Financial Reporting

  • Lead VAS accounting activities, including GL management, month-end & year-end closing.
  • Prepare and review statutory financial statements in compliance with VAS and Vietnam regulations.
  • Ensure accurate recording of revenue & cost for logistics/transport operations (freight, warehouse, customs brokerage, fuel surcharge…).
  • Reconcile accounts, monitor accruals, provisions, and fixed assets.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for annual statutory audit.

B. Tax Management & Compliance

  • Oversee full spectrum of tax matters: CIT, VAT, PIT, FCT, import/export taxes, environmental fees
  • Ensure timely and accurate tax filings, tax payments, and compliance with tax authorities.
  • Review logistics-related tax issues: cross-border shipping, transshipment, bonded warehouse, transportation service VAT, service charges to overseas entities…
  • Lead tax planning, tax risk assessment, and optimize tax efficiency within legal framework.
  • Liaise with tax authorities, ensuring proper documentation & compliance during inspections.

C. Internal Controls & Compliance (MNC Environment)

  • Implement and maintain internal control procedures aligned with group standards (SOX, IFRS compliance signals nếu có).
  • Monitor compliance with global finance policies, travel & expense guidelines, procurement and contract approval matrix.
  • Work closely with regional finance to align reporting, submissions, and group audit requirements.

D. Business Partnering & Operations Support

  • Provide financial insights for logistics operations: route profitability, cost drivers, warehouse/transport margins, fuel costs analysis.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for Vietnam entity.
  • Advise management on pricing model, cost optimization, and new service financial feasibility.
  • Partner with operations (warehouse, trucking, air/sea freight), sales, and procurement teams for commercial decision-making.

3. Requirements

A. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
  • CPA/ACCA/VNCPA is a strong plus.
  • Deep understanding of VAS; familiarity with IFRS is preferred (for MNC).

B. Experience

  • 7–10+ years of relevant experience, including minimum 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong experience in Logistics/Transportation/Freight Forwarding revenue recognition, cost allocation, COGS
