Role Summary

We are seeking a
Strategic Infrastructure & Trade Policy Consultant
to support applied research and advisory work in Southeast Asia, with a particular focus on Vietnam's evolving logistics corridors, maritime infrastructure, and cross-border trade policies.

Based in
Ho Chi Minh City
, the Associate will contribute to corridor diagnostics, investment briefs, stakeholder mapping, and multilateral coordination—especially around Mekong subregional connectivity and port development.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on trade corridors, logistics bottlenecks, and customs modernization in Vietnam and the Mekong region
  • Draft technical memos, policy papers, and donor-funded investment proposals
  • Support stakeholder engagement with Vietnamese government agencies, port authorities, and ASEAN institutions
  • Contribute to visualizing infrastructure and trade data for use in interactive dashboards and reports
  • Track development partner activities in trade facilitation, infrastructure finance, and regional integration

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in
    International Trade, Public Policy, Transport Planning, or Development Economics
  • 2–5 years of experience in infrastructure strategy, public sector consulting, or donor-funded development programs
  • Familiarity with Vietnam's national transport strategies, GMS corridors, or ASEAN trade agreements
  • Strong research and writing skills in English
