Procurement Team Lead

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Procurement Team Lead for International Business Development to lead our procurement team in supporting HBCG's global expansion. This critical role will focus on implementing effective procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliant, cost-efficient

procurement processes to drive international business success.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sourcing and Supplier Management

2. Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with HBCG's global business objectives.

3. Identify and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and delivery timelines, building a robust network of subcontractors and suppliers in Vietnam and internationally.

4. Foster strong relationships with key suppliers to secure competitive pricing and service levels for markets in the US, Australia, Middle East, and Cambodia.

5. Contract Negotiation and Management

6. Negotiate favorable terms for procurement agreements to support global operations.

7. Ensure contracts comply with legal, company, and international market standards, including export/import regulations.

8. Monitor contract performance, assisting with renewals or terminations as needed.

9. Cost Management

10. Support the development and management of the procurement budget to ensure cost-efficient operations.

11. Monitor global and local market trends, particularly Vietnam's construction material production market, to optimize pricing strategies.

12. Drive cost-saving initiatives to enhance profitability.

13. Inventory Coordination

14. Assist in maintaining optimal inventory levels for international projects, minimizing excess stock.

15. Support the implementation of inventory control procedures.

16. Collaborate with other departments to forecast global procurement needs.

17. Quality Assurance

18. Ensure purchased materials and services meet HBCG's quality standards and international project requirements.

19. Work with the Quality Control Department to resolve supplier-related quality issues.

20. Participate in supplier audits to maintain high standards.

21. Team Leadership and Collaboration

22. Lead and mentor the procurement team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

23. Support team members in achieving departmental goals through training and guidance.

24. Assist in setting and evaluating team performance objectives.

25. Compliance and Risk Management

26. Ensure procurement activities comply with VNese laws, international regulations, and company policies, with a focus on export/import processes and customs procedures.

27. Identify and mitigate risks in the global supply chain.

28. Stay updated on international standards and certifications for exporting products from Vietnam.

29. Reporting and Analysis

30. Prepare reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.

31. Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

32. Provide actionable insights to support senior leadership decision making.

33. Collaboration and Communication

34. Work closely with departments such as Tender, Project Management, Finance, and Quality Control to align procurement with international project goals.

35. Maintain clear communication with internal and external stakeholders for seamless operations.

36. Continuous Improvement

37. Support the adoption of innovative technologies and processes to enhance procurement efficiency.

38. Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3 - 4 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Expertise in sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
• Knowledge of export/import processes, customs procedures, and international transportation regulations.
• Understanding of standards and certifications for exporting products from Vietnam.
• Familiarity with Vietnam's construction material production market.
• Experience supporting procurement for international markets (US, Australia, Middle East, Cambodia) is an advantage.
• An established database and network of subcontractors and suppliers in Vietnam is highly desirable.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English, with strong communication skills.
• Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
