Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize, implement, and maintain gameplay systems that achieve a fulfilling flow state, addictive game loops, and a risk/reward balance.
  • Developing the storyline, character back-stories, and dialogue, through scripts and storyboards, including any relevant research.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation (such as design outlines, diagrams, and visual mockups) that details the triggers, interactions, and subsequent events of specific features or aspects of gameplay.
  • Work closely with User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) Designers to optimize the player interface.
  • Building levels and environments

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of Game Design experience with a strong passion for games design, including knowledge of market trends and retro gaming.
  • Preferably working with 2D game genres (casual, hyper-casual, platformer, puzzle, idle, etc.).
  • Proven track record as a Game Designer with a portfolio demonstrating successful projects, ideally including games for young children or educational games.
  • Solid knowledge of Game Design, including mechanics, level design, UI/UX, and game reward systems.
  • Proficient in game design tools like Cocos Creator, Unreal Engine, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with mobile devices hardware, platforms, software technologies, and techniques.
  • Flexible, self-disciplined, highly motivated, and committed to achieving the final game result and company goals.
