Position Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Presales Engineer based in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The Presales Engineer will collaborate with internal teams and clients to understand technical and business requirements, deliver tailored solutions, and create detailed proposals. Key responsibilities include supporting sales teams by providing technical expertise, conducting product demonstrations, assisting with integration and implementation planning, and ensuring security compliance. The role also involves actively contributing to customer satisfaction and business growth by identifying opportunities and ensuring timely response to client needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • To understand and learn about the wide range of software, hardware and service products that are sold and supported by AVTech to the point of being able to configure and sell solutions to clients;
  • To respond to clients requests for software, hardware and services by understanding the clients current IT configurations and designing (at current best practice) and selling new software, hardware and services solutions that will satisfy their real, perceived and future needs;
  • Work with Business Development staff to gather and analyse clients' requirements to develop a good understanding of clients' business;
  • Understand clients' business and technology requirements to propose suitable solutions;
  • Maintain a high level of customer service, both internally and externally;
  • Assist to develop strong technical knowledge and understanding of AVTech's solution portfolio;
  • Complete technology training and certifications to develop wide and strong technology knowledge;
  • Assist to maintain effective and positive working relationships with organisations/clients to optimise business opportunities;
  • Negotiate and manage supplier purchasing, including pricing, ETA and logistics;
  • Assist to develop sales/marketing strategies;
  • Act as first point of contact for all sales incoming enquiries;
  • Proactive review and analysis of clients' licensing environments and engaging with them to help understand the current license situations;
  • Travel when required.

The ideal candidate MUST HAVE the following skills and attributes:

  • Skills & Experience

o   Minimum of 2 years' experience in IT support and/or project delivery for enterprise environments with multiple sites;

o   Communication skills in both Vietnamese and English (speaking, listening, reading and writing);

o   Broad understanding of AVTech's vision, business strategies, information technology applications, associated tools and methodologies to support project objectives;

o   High degree of creativity and judgment to identify and solve complex problems;

o   Good presentation skills and ability to provide presales and post sales services and support;

o   Good written and project documentation skills;

o   Efficient time management skills;

  • Personality Attributes

o   Professionally presented;

o   Self-motivated and willing to work outside the normal business working hours to meet business and client expectations;

o   A positive, results oriented and customer focused attitude;

o   A desire to take responsibility and ownership to see actions/issues through to completion;

o   The ability to adapt to a changing environment that requires proactive and innovative solutions;

o   Willing to travel locally, domestically and internationally;

o   A flexible attitude.
