Role Description

The Android Developer will be part of the core product team responsible for building and enhancing FPT's internal chat platform, a real-time communication and collaboration solution for tens of thousands of employees across the corporation.

This is a full-time on-site position based in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain the Android mobile application for the FPT Chat platform.
  • Implement real-time messaging features using
    WebSocket
    ,
    Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM)
    , and related technologies.
  • Optimize app performance, stability, and scalability across various Android devices.
  • Collaborate closely with
    Backend (NodeJS)
    ,
    Frontend (ReactJS)
    ,
    UI/UX
    , and
    QA
    teams to deliver seamless and high-quality user experiences.
  • Conduct thorough testing (unit, integration, performance) to ensure product reliability and responsiveness.
  • Participate in product discussions and propose innovative solutions to enhance user engagement and overall performance.
  • Stay updated with the latest Android frameworks, tools, and best practices to continuously improve development processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least
    3–5 years of experience
    in Android application development.
  • Strong proficiency in
    Java
    and
    Kotlin
    .
  • Deep understanding of
    Android SDK
    ,
    MVVM/MVI architecture
    , and modern Android design principles (Material Design).
  • Experience working with
    RESTful APIs
    ,
    WebSocket
    , and real-time communication frameworks.
  • Knowledge of
    Firebase services (Auth, Cloud Messaging, Analytics, Remote Config)
    is a plus.
  • Familiarity with
    Git
    ,
    CI/CD
    , and
    Agile/Scrum
    workflows.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced product team.

  • Experience developing
    chat or social communication applications
