Role Description

  • Analyze functional and technical requirements and translate them into comprehensive and executable test cases, ensuring full test coverage
  • Design, implement, and maintain component-level and system-level test scenarios, including automated and regression test suites
  • Execute tests, retests, and regression cycles, evaluate results, identify defects, and create detailed bug tickets with accurate documentation
  • Ensure proper documentation, traceability, and archiving of all test artifacts to guarantee reusability, reproducibility, and global applicability of work results
  • Review and approve component and system requirement specifications, test designs, and test implementations, ensuring full compliance with company standards
  • Exercise veto authority on deviations from defined software architecture standards and propose corrective actions when required
  • Identify, select, and apply appropriate tools and methodologies for the development and optimization of the software test architecture
  • Prototype and implement innovative concepts and improvements for testing strategies and automation capabilities
  • Detect and isolate defects in the device under test effectively, maximizing issue discovery while minimizing testing effort
  • Ensure timely distribution of detected issues, corrective measures, and lessons learned to relevant global stakeholders, supporting continuous improvement of test processes
  • Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify weaknesses in networked systems and embedded environments (if assigned to security-related topics)
  • Utilize industry-standard cybersecurity tools such as Nmap for network discovery and vulnerability scanning and Wireshark for deep packet inspection and protocol analysis; familiarity with tools like Metasploit or Burp Suite is an advantage
  • Analyze TCP/IP, UDP, and related protocol stacks to detect anomalies, misconfigurations, and potential attack vectors in embedded or distributed systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in software engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in software or system testing.
  • Proficient in English (spoken and written)
  • Solid understanding of embedded electronics, software testing, and analytical evaluation
  • Hands-on experience with: Windows / Linux, Jira, Confluence, Git/GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory, Python, PyTest, PyCharm, Polarion, and standard productivity tools (Microsoft Office)
