Position Overview:

We're looking for a Middle/ Senior UX/UI Designer to lead our design function and build high-performing, conversion-focused websites. This is a leadership role requiring both exceptional design craft and the ability to develop and mentor a design team. You'll work directly with our Creative Director to shape project direction, refine processes, and deliver websites that balance aesthetics with measurable results.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Development:

● Doing UI/ UX design for websites across hospitality, e-commerce, and professional services

● Create wireframes, prototypes, and comprehensive design layouts

● Develop responsive, conversion-optimised WordPress websites

● Design user flows and simplify complex interactions

● Ensure brand consistency across digital platforms

Creative Direction:

● Develop stylescapes and visual design directions

● Create moodboards and design concepts for client presentations

● Present multiple design options and rationales

● Translate business objectives into user-focused design strategies

Leadership & Process:

● Build and mentor the UX/UI design team

● Oversee multiple projects and ensure quality across deliverables. Scope projects alongside the Creative Director

● Develop and refine internal design processes

● Collaborate with SEO, paid ads, and social media teams

Client & Strategy:

● Present design concepts to clients

● Manage design revisions and stakeholder feedback

● Balance design vision with business requirements

● Conduct user research and competitor analysis

Job Requirements:

Design Expertise:

• 3+ years in UX/UI design and web development
• Strong portfolio demonstrating diverse design styles across industries
• Expert proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD)
• Experience creating stylescapes, moodboards, and design direction presentations
• Solid understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
• Ability to simplify complex user interactions

Technical Skills:

● Strong WordPress development skills (primary platform)

● Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript

● Understanding of conversion optimisation principles

● Knowledge of SEO best practices for web design

● Experience with design systems and brand guidelines

Leadership & Collaboration:

● Proven experience building and managing design teams

● Strong project scoping and planning abilities

● Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)

● Ability to translate design concepts across cross-functional teams

● Experience working in agency environments

Process & Strategy:

● Strategic design thinking with long-term roadmapping

● Proactive problem-solving and process optimisation

Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines

● Data-driven approach to design decisions

Nice to Have

● Experience in hospitality/travel industry design

● Booking system integration experience (RMS, booking engines)

● User research and usability testing experience

● Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG)

● Experience with Webflow or other CMS platforms

● Video editing and motion design skills

● Familiarity with Git/version control

● Understanding of multilingual website design

● Experience with A/B testing and analytics tools
