What you'll do:

As a Technical Manager based in Hanoi, you will immerse yourself in the world of high-performance lubricants by acting as the go-to expert for both internal stakeholders and external clients. • Serve as the main technical expert on all lubricant products, particularly focusing on Passenger Car Motor Oil (PCMO) and Motorcycle Oil (MCO), offering deep insights into product performance and application.
• Provide comprehensive technical advice and support to Sales, Marketing, and key customers regarding product specifications, usage recommendations, and troubleshooting complex issues.
• Develop and deliver engaging technical training sessions for internal teams as well as external partners and distributors, ensuring up-to-date knowledge of lubricant technology and industry trends.
• Manage and resolve intricate technical inquiries, product performance complaints, and quality concerns promptly while maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Stay informed about the latest domestic and international developments in lubricant technology, OEM requirements, and automotive industry standards to ensure market relevance.
• Ensure all technical activities comply with local regulatory requirements as well as global corporate standards by maintaining accurate documentation and processes.
• Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing teams to evaluate market needs and define an optimal product portfolio tailored for the Vietnamese market.
• Undertake regular travel-approximately 30% of your time-to visit customers, distributors, workshops, and attend industry events throughout Vietnam.
• Conduct field audits, technical trials, and performance evaluations to validate product efficacy while gathering valuable feedback from the market.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by sharing insights from fieldwork with cross-functional teams to enhance product offerings.

• Proven understanding of the automotive or petroleum industry landscape including OEM requirements as well as international lubricant standards such as API, ACEA or JASO.
• Excellent communication skills are essential; you must be able to present complex information clearly in both Vietnamese and English when liaising with diverse audiences including regional headquarters.
• Strong interpersonal abilities enable you to build trust-based relationships with colleagues, customers, distributors and partners alike.
• Experience designing and delivering effective training programmes for technical topics is highly valued.
