MacGregor – Let's shape the future togetherDo you thrive in engineering? Looking no further, MacGregor is looking to hire a Structural Engineer to join our team.
The main duty of this role is to calculate the strength of mechanical structures in accordance with requirements. You will accomplish assigned strength calculating tasks in agreed technical solutions within a committed time frame, independently or in cooperation with other colleagues.
More tasks and responsibilities- Comply with all design standards and requirements of Company and Customers
- Propose solutions to improve efficiency and quality of the work
- Coordinate actively with Company in discussing, concluding and performing Qualification Development Plan
Reporting directly to the Vice Design Office Manager. The position will be based in MacGregor's office in Haiphong, Vietnam.
What you'll need to succeedYou have the ability to work independently and with others in a global environment, taking on significant responsibility.
Ideally you have
- Mechanical Engineer or equivalent education
- 2 years of relevant experience in similar role
- Previous experience in an International organization
- Knowledge of ship construction and International Class Societies' regulations
- Experience of using technical and management software specialized for strength calculation and structural analysis
- Knowledge of products designed by MacGregor and/or of MacGregor drawing handling system is an advantage
- Basic in both written and spoken English and Vietnamese
