Accounting Manager Vietnam

**Your mission**:
We are currently looking for an Accounting Manager Vietnam (f/m/x) in Ho Chi Minh City who will independently manage the accounting and tax compliance of ecoligo’s local subsidiaries in Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Philippines, and Thailand). In addition, you will drive, automate, and optimize current processes. Thanks to your excellent organizational skills, you keep track of the 6 ecoligo entities in the region, including managing payroll in Vietnam and Philippines. **Your role**:

- You will be the point of contact of the finance team in South-East Asia, reporting directly to our Team Lead Accounting in Germany and indirectly to Head of SEA
- You will manage our external bookkeepers and tax advisors and ensure that our books are kept up-to-date and reconcile to allow monthly closings, including but not limited to:

- overseeing the account assignment and posting of current business transactions in accounts receivable, accounts payable and fixed asset accounting, including regular account maintenance
- checking vouchers, payment records to ensure that all necessary documents are requested, collected, and compiled
- ensuring tax and commercially correct accounting in day to-day operations, including payroll related taxes, value added tax, foreign contractor tax and corporate income tax
- overseeing invoicing and revenue collection in close collaboration with our in-country teams
- You will manage on the day-to day accounting operations of your entities, which includes but is not limited to:

- Uploading all purchase invoices in our Accounting System (Accounts IQ)
- Managing cost approval
- Handling electronic payment transactions for operational payments and support the respective country managers
- Saving all required documentation to allow proper bookings from our external tax advisors, e.g., sales and purchase invoices, loan agreements, accruals, and bank statements
- You will be responsible for regulatory filings, e.g.: statistical, FIA and other reports to the General Statistical Office as well as Business license fee calculations
- You will manage the audited year-end financial close of the Southeast Asian companies in cooperation with our external tax advisors and auditors
- You will manage administrative tasks (invoicing, dunning, payments, banking and short/long loans) in close collaboration with our two Office Managers in Vietnam
- You will interpret and consult legislative and regulatory requirements where necessary and ensure any resulting amendments to processes or procedures implemented
- You will continuously improve the processes in your area of work and contribute to the automation and digitalization of our company
- You will prepare special evaluations, reports, KPIs and statistics to present to the headquarters in Germany and/or institutional investors

**Your profile**:

- 2+ years of prior working experience in a similar position
- You have a thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including VAS (Vietnam Accounting Standards) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards). Preferable TFRS for NPAEs (Thai Financial Reporting Standards for non-publicly accountable entities) and PFRS (Philippine Financial Reporting Standards)
- You have a previous experience in a company with multiple entities and intercompany transactions, with an international team and/or with a startup
- You are proficient with Microsoft Office Excel, preferable experience with data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI
- You are fluent in Vietnamese and English (our office language)
- A Chief Accountant Certification is preferable but not required
- You are able to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
- You are thoroughly organized and have an eye for detail
- You have excellent collaboration and communication skills
- You are able to take on a lot of responsibility, build and optimize processes and make sure that results are delivered on time
