Working with students, staff, and parents, the Counsellor creates a safe, inclusive environment where students can develop emotional resilience, understand themselves better, and thrive academically and personally. Through individual support, collaboration, and community-wide initiatives, the Counsellor fosters a proactive approach to mental health, helping ensure that all students feel supported.**Purpose of Role**:
- Provide confidential counselling to support students' emotional needs and personal growth.-
- Accept and manage referrals from students, staff, and parents, assessing and coordinating appropriate interventions.-
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and liaise with external professionals to support student well-being.-
- Guide and support the work of any counselling interns, fostering their professional growth.-
- Consult with staff and parents, contributing to a unified support network around each student.-
- Design and deliver workshops for staff, students, and parents to promote mental health awareness.-
- Oversee the Safe Space, ensuring it remains a secure environment for students, with accurate record-keeping.-
- Maintain detailed records, track counselling data, and analyze trends to enhance school programming.-
- Actively engage in safeguarding practices, contributing to the Child Protection team and attending relevant training.-
