A Vietnam Qualified Technology, Multimedia, and Telecom (“TMT”) Associate is needed for our Corporate & Commercial department in Vietnam office. Our Vietnam TMT practice has been ranked “Tier 1” in The Legal500 for recent years. Our clients’ businesses cover a wide range of TMT industries, including data, media, Internet content provision and search engines, e-commerce, telecoms, online gaming, fintech and payment, crypto, AI, blockchain and other new technology-related areas. We represent some of the biggest names in their respective industries.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform legal research and analysis when and as necessary to resolve legal issues and determine the appropriate course of action regarding a particular issue/case;
- Advise the clients on requirements and conditions for setting up their TMT business in Vietnam; implementing and expending their business to Vietnam market; or acquiring TMT business in Vietnam;
- Advise technology companies, telecommunication companies, OTT operators, e-payment and fintech companies for regulatory compliance with Vietnam related regulations;
- Formulates legal strategies and analytical responses to clients and acting as the point of contact for TMT clients;
- Drafts, reviews, and finalizes TMT-related documents and contracts such as consulting services, IT products, software, and data processing along with data privacy policies.

**Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Vietnamese national
- Vietnam Lawyer Practicing License is a must
- 2-3 years of experience in advising on TMT matters at:

- a reputable law firm;
- an in-house counsel position with a reputable TMT industry related company; or
- a relevant government agency such as the Ministry or Department of Information and Communication (MIC or DIC)
- Exceptional academic background with includes, at minimum, a bachelor’s degree in law;
- Excellent command of English (verbal and written) and the ability to communicate with foreign clients and colleagues comfortably
- A “can do” attitude, and an enthusiastic and energetic personality
- Good team player
- Strong time management and project management skills
- Strong business acumen and work ethic, and high professional standards
