KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Compliance to test methods, standards and sampling frequencies as defined by plant and laboratory procedures.
- Monitor stocks & material use.
- Liaise with Material suppliers and order material accordingly.
- Preparation of raw materials for production.
- Equipment cleaning, maintenance and assistance in calibration.
- Completion of all necessary documentation.
- Participation in defect investigations with Polymer Engineer.
- Involvement in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Housekeeping Lab and Chemical areas.
- Adhering to all chemical procedures relating to.
- Movement and handling of chemicals.
- Incoming chemical quality control.
- Organising and movement of the Chemical Waste.
- Cutting and preparation of samples.
- Blending.
- Finished product testing.
- Writing reports, reviews and summaries.
- Perform other duties as required.

- 3 years+ experience working lab environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good IT skills (Experience with ERP an advantage).
- Problem solving ability and data interpretation skills.
- Flexible and good organisational skills.
- Strict adherence to Health & Safety protocols.
- Must have the desire to strive for continuous improvement and excellence within a fast-paced growth environment.
- Team player.
