About this position

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the Vietnam development team (frontend and backend), providing technical direction, guidance, and mentorship.
- Design and own the overall system architecture to ensure scalability, maintainability, and security.
- Hands-on development across the stack: Java Spring Boot (backend), PostgreSQL, React (frontend), and React Native or Flutter (mobile).
- Collaborate with the onshore full stack engineer and other stakeholders to define requirements and deliver solutions.
- Set and enforce coding standards, best practices, and development workflows.
- Conduct code reviews, provide feedback, and help team members grow their technical skills.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues as they arise.
- Contribute to product discussions and help shape the product experience, especially in the absence of a dedicated UI/UX designer.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performance engineering culture within the Vietnam team.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in full stack development, with proven experience in technical leadership or team lead roles.
- Expertise in Java and Spring Boot for backend development.
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL (or similar relational databases).
- Proficient in React for frontend development.
- Hands-on experience with React Native or Flutter for cross-platform mobile app development.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor remote or offshore development teams.
- Proven ability to design and implement robust, scalable, and maintainable systems.
- Experience working in distributed teams and communicating across cultures and time zones.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to drive projects forward with mínimal supervision.

Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), Docker, or Kubernetes.
- Experience in a startup environment or small, fast-moving teams.
- Basic sense for UI/UX and product usability.
- Knowledge of automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
