About the role

As a Sales Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in growing market share, introducing new products, and strengthening customer relationships.

This role will be based in Indonesia and report to Regional Sales Manager, SEAO.

Key responsibilities
- Realize individual sales target, implementation of sales policies, procedures to ensure compliance with Sandvik policies.
- Respond to complex customer inquiries and provide tooling recommendations.
- Ensure receivable account balance monthly; follow up with customers on outstanding balances and ensure that customers pay as per terms to help manage cash flow and reduce potential bad debts.
- Lead sales plans using CRM via leads, opportunities and customer visit reports.
- Drive negotiation and defense of prices and margins with end users and distributors.About you

- Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field, combined with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in sales or engineering in the cutting tool, metalworking, machinery, or similar industry.
- Technical Skills:

- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical drawings.
- A thorough understanding of metal cutting operations on machine tools is required.
- Collaboration and Communication:

- Excellent team player with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional customers, including engineering, and production
- Strong relationship-building skills with customers and business partners, with the ability to establish and maintain long-term relationships.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with small and large groups.
- Software Proficiency:

- Proficient in MS Office, with experience in CRM software preferred.
- Language Skills:

- Fluent in English, both orally and in writing, with excellent communication skills.What we do?
