**Description**

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct feasibility studies for mining projects
- Design and plan mining operations
- Oversee the extraction of minerals
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Manage budgets and project timelines
- Collaborate with geologists, surveyors, and other engineers
- Use specialized software to model and simulate mining operations
- Prepare technical reports and documentation
- Monitor and evaluate mining operations
- Implement measures to minimize environmental impact
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies
- Develop and implement safety protocols
- Conduct risk assessments
- Provide technical support and guidance to mining teams
- Ensure the efficient use of resources
- Manage and train junior engineers and technicians
- Coordinate with regulatory bodies and stakeholders
- Optimize mining processes and operations
- Conduct site inspections and audits
- Develop and maintain mine plans and schedules

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mining engineering
- Strong knowledge of mining operations and techniques
- Proficiency in mining software (e.g., Surpac, MineSight, Vulcan)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to work in remote locations
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and best practices
- Experience with mine planning and design
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
