**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**

Overview: As a full-time Data Engineer at TotallyAwesome, you have the opportunity to shape the direction of the company. We do not care about ranks or seniority. There is no micro-managing here. **How will YOU contribute to the Team?**
- Work with stakeholders to understand the business requirements for the data warehouse
- Design and implement a data warehouse that meets these requirements and leverages market gold standards for transactional efficiency and future utility
- Develop and maintain data pipelines to load data into the data warehouse from a variety of sources
- Optimize the data warehouse for performance and scalability
- Ensure the quality and reliability of data in the data warehouse
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to provide them with access to the data they need to do their work

**DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**

**Do YOU have what it takes to succeed?**
- +3 years of proven experience as a data engineer or in a similar role
- Communicate clearly and effectively at all levels in English
- Experience in designing and building data warehouses
- Technical expertise in data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques
- Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Python)
- Hands-on experience with SQL database design
- Experience with designing and building Airflow pipelines
- Great numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Great attention to detail
- Organizational skills

**Nice to have**
- Familiarity with integrating third-party APIs
- Familiarity with AWS or GCP services
