To strengthen the existing ISHCMC pathways to graduation, the school is currently investigating the introduction of the Advanced Placement (AP) Program to complement the strength of it IBDP provision. ISHCMC is recognized as one of the top schools within the global Cognita family of schools, and although aligned to Cognita’s vision of non-selective entry, ISHCMC consistently sees IBDP averages of 34+ and cohort destinations across North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia.-
**Position Objective**:

The High School Principal (HSP) a new position at ISHCMC. Working closely with the Principals of Middle School and Primary School, the HSP is a key member of the leadership team, responsible for shaping the educational vision and overseeing the daily operations of the High School (Grades 9 through 12). This role requires a dynamic leader who can foster an environment of academic rigor, personal growth, and community engagement.The HSP reports directly to the Head of School, and indirectly to the Deputy Head. The High School Principal will be the Ambassador Person of High School, representing, advocating, marketing, and engaging with the community. THe HPS is expected to be experienced in the following aspects of administration: school vision, ethos and high standards, curriculum development, program assessment, professional development and staff evaluation, budget, effective communication with all constituents, and scheduling.
The curriculum is based on the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), and in the future, the addition of an option for Advanced Placement (AP) program. The High School Principal is expected to work closely with the Vice Principal (HS), IBDP Co-ordinator, Dean of Students, and University Pathways Counsellors to ensure the success and articulation of all academic programs.**Responsibilities**:

- Deputy Head of School on daily operations and academic and pastoral alignment of the School Division.

Key Responsibilities

**Leadership**:

- Focus on the successful operation of High School campus, ensuring smooth transitions for students form ISHCMC Middles school and new entrants.
- Collaborate with the Executive Leadership and Senior Management Teams to develop and implement innovative educational strategies that align with the school’s improvement plan and mission.
- To provide professional leadership of the High School faculty and staff.
- To fulfil the goals and lead High School in achieving the School Strategic Plan.
- To uphold the school culture of permanent improvement in order to raise standards of achievement at all levels.
- To achieve strong College placement results.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, setting ambitious goals for student achievement and faculty development.
- Actively participate in community outreach initiatives to enhance the school’s profile and foster partnerships with local organizations.

**Management**:

- Manage the scheduling of classes and faculty assignments to optimize resource allocation.
- Focus on enhancing the curriculum to ensure it meets the diverse needs of all students, preparing them for future academic and career pursuits.
- Supervise the upkeep of accurate records, schedules, and transcripts in both the database and student files.
- Ensure the effective administration of assessments such as MAP, IBDP, etc., analyse results to improve curriculum and instruction and share with staff, students and parents.
- Regularly review and revise curriculum guide, student handbook, etc. in High School.
- Under the direction of the Deputy Head of School liaise with other Divisional Principals in leading whole school orientation for new and returning faculty and staff.
- Manage High School budget and ensure appropriate use of resources.
To provide detailed reports for the Head of School and any other reports throughout the year.
