**POSITION TITLE: DATA ENGINEER**

**FUNCTIONAL BUSINESS OBJECTIVES (FBOs)**:
Genkin is looking for a potential Data Engineer to join our growing team of analytics experts. You will be responsible for expanding and optimizing our data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow for cross functional teams.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Building and running the data processing pipeline on Google Cloud Platform
- Automating data collection process; data pre-processing and analysis.
- Create and manage data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data warehouses and databases.
- Optimize data infrastructure and architecture to handle large volumes of data efficiently and effectively.
- Design and implement data governance and security measures to safeguard sensitive data.
- Researching and implementing methods to enhance data quality and reliability.
- Monitor and tackle data quality issues in the data pipelines.
- Build a data architecture plan to drive innovation for future data storage, reporting, and analytic solutions.
- Provide assistance to the team when needed, investigating the root cause, and thoroughly resolving defects in the event of a problem.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Have a relevant degree such as a Master's and Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Science, Data Analytics, Business, Information Systems, Graduate, Economics;
- At least 2 years of experience in Google Cloud Platform (General Infrastructure and Services and particular data services such as Big Query, Data Flow, Airflow, etc.)
- Sufficient knowledge of Microsoft Office: (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Using Google Sheets, Google App Script at advanced level to create files system;
- Strong experience in Python programming language or Java programming language (second preferred)
- Relative experience in databases like SQL and NoSQL
- A strong engineering mindset to automate tasks, to identify use cases and test cases and to improve the system, PR/incident resolution and deployments
- Willingness to learn new technologies of Data Engineering
- Strong analytical skills;
- Good command of English verbal and nonverbal communication
