Finishing Technician

**Role Purpose**
- To ensure key parameters for final winding are well managed and controlled
- To ensure all new products/ samples are thoroughly tested, carried out trials to find out optimum parameters for bulk production

**Principal Accountabilities and Key Activities**

**Winding machine settings**
- Prepare winding parameters for all winding machines
- Guide and train winding operators on key settings for each winding method
- Carry out audits to ensure standard settings are being implemented
- Prepare settings for new winding machines

**Efficiency improvement**
- To coordinate with engineering to optimize machine speed and efficiency
- To monitor cleaning frequency and procedure to ensure the minimum stoppage
- To monitor all issues causing winding speed decrease and coordinate with supervisors/engineering to maximize winding speeds

**New products**
- To carry out trials for new products in Finishing.
- To carry out trials of changing products between winding machines when there is over queue (capacity)

**Support**
- To participate in audits to ensure SOPs are well being followed.
- Ensure measurement equipment in Finishing like Graf length testing, scales are calibrated and in good condition.
- To monitor of Anti-wicking product processes and involve in improvement actions related.

**Education, Qualifications and Experience**

Essential
- Desirable
- At least vocational training or College school
- At least 6 months experience of fields in related to produce industrial sewing-thread
- Understand Finishing process flow
- Attention to details and willing to learn
- Communication skills
