Sedbergh Vietnam (SSV) is a bilingual international boarding school and international programs at the CVK Campus (Kindergarten) and the BCIS Campus (Primary, Secondary, High School) with Cambridge curriculum. SSV was previously the Bilingual Canadian International School (BCIS) and part of the EQuest Education group. Building on the excellent reputation of Sedbergh UK with 500 years of history and boarding experience, we offer an exciting approach to the delivery of the Vietnamese National Curriculum in addition to an emerging Cambridge Curriculum including IGCSE and A Level programmes. We currently have over 1400 students from Nursery to Year 13 and approximately 200 support and teaching staff making Sedbergh Vietnam a busy school with a number of exciting challenges ahead as we expand. **The role**:

- Teaching English to kindergarten students according to the requirements of the International Program.
- Preparing curriculum, lesson plans, and teaching materials for class instruction and activities.
- Adapting teaching methods, learning strategies, and instructional materials to meet the varying needs and interests of students.
- Conducting assessments of student attainment, monitoring student academic progress, and providing pertinent feedback.
- Establishing classroom expectations, observing and evaluating student performance, behavior, social development, and health.
- Conferring with teachers, parents, or guardians to discuss student progress and address behavioral or academic issues.
- Preparing and implementing remedial programs for students requiring extra help.
- Attending faculty meetings, professional development training, and school events.
- Planning and working on extracurricular activities such as clubs, academic contests, etc.
- Performing miscellaneous professional duties as assigned by the Principal/Director.

**Requirements**:

- Education Degree in a relevant field or BA + PGCE.
- Experience of working in a bilingual setting.
- Passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child.
- A high level of professionalism and consideration of the well-being of children.
- Recent and consistent involvement in extracurricular activities.
- Respect for all members of a school community, irrespective of position, gender, age and ethnic background.
- Previous experience working with students for whom English is not their first language.
- A positive and solution-focused attitude to working life.
- Acceptable police checks (or equivalent) from the country of origin and from all other countries in which the applicant has worked and no question regarding suitability to work with children.
- Appropriate references from current and previous employer, corroborated by personal phone calls.
