About this team Imagine Design is the Architect of a product, and Product Development is the Engineer. From concept through to pre-production stage, Product Development is the front-line regarding communication with the finished goods vendor base, launching sketches, requesting sampling, fitting product and keeping an accurate data library of the life cycle of a product. Product Development is a truly cross functional working group that pivot to partners such as Design, Concept, Fit, Quality, Merchandising, Finished Goods Sourcing, Raw Materials and Go To Market operations to deliver a commercially ready product to our buying teams. A day in the life The "In country" Junior Technical Product Developer at lululemon creates world class athletic & lifestyle apparel that is acknowledged as leading in innovation, design, function, fit and quality. Supports Vancouver SSC with data entry tasks in Flex PLM. Under the mentorship & partnership of the TD, Senior TD or TD Manager; you develop styles from tech pack hand-off to the production of garments. - Responsible for sample management, style number & colorway creation - Maintain data integrity in Flex PLM - Responsible for Carryover data management and Color BOM creation in Flex PLM - Organize daily work-flow that adheres to GTM deliverables & development timelines - Develop and create tech packs in Flex PLM to communicate requirements for Design aesthetic, fit, and construction - Develop Multi Sourced, Lift and Fast Turn styles with our vendors - Measure and review proto samples based on submitted tech pack - Spec and analyze garments to determine compliance of measurements, workmanship, construction direction, and maintain fit intent - Work closely with the Technical Developer & Senior TD to advance technical knowledge of our brand’s construction and fit standards **Qualifications**: - Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent professional experience; focused training in Technical Design, Pattern Making, Product Development or relevant experience preferred - 2+ years minimum industry experience (preferably within the Technical Design or Technical Development departments) - Proficiency in MS office (Excel/Word/Outlook), Adobe Design Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop) - Knowledge of Flex PLM or similar PLM software is recommended - Driven by the technical aspect of the product creation process - Attention to detail, initiative, organization, strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to take thorough and relevant fit notes - Basic understanding of Grading - Comprehension of end-to-end product lifecycles - Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities - Self-motivated, strong sense of urgency, collaborative mindset - Thrive in a fast paced, cross functional team environment - Excellent time management and proactive problem-solving skills - Curiosity for change and learning, capable of managing ambiguity - Familiarity or Intermediate knowledge with Gerber Pattern Making and/or 3D software (CLO, Browzwear) Must haves - Acknowledges the presence of choice in every moment and takes personal responsibility for their life. - Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and continuously innovates to achieve great results. - Communicates with honesty and kindness, and creates the space for others to do the same. - Leads with courage, knowing the possibility of greatness is bigger than the fear of failure. - Fosters connection by putting people first and building trusting relationships. - Integrates fun and joy as a way of being and working, aka doesn’t take themselves too seriously.
