**SUMMARY**:
Global Performance Commerce is seeking a talented **Database Optimization Specialist** to join our dynamic team of professionals. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing and maintaining our database environments, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and data scientists, to identify and resolve complex database performance issues.

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Design, implement, and maintain efficient, scalable, and cost-effective database solutions
- Work with state of the art AI to optimize
- Optimize queries and indexing strategies to improve database performance
- Develop and maintain database maintenance procedures to ensure data integrity and availability
- Analyze data access patterns and usage to identify opportunities for optimization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize database performance and support business objectives
- Implement disaster recovery and backup procedures to ensure business continuity
- Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in database management and optimization

**YOUR SKILLS**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years of experience in database administration or optimization
- Microsoft Azure Machine Learning experience
- Strong expertise in database management systems, such as Mongo, MySQL, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL
- Proficiency in SQL and other programming languages commonly used in database management, such as Python or Java
- Experience with query optimization and indexing strategies
- Understanding of database security and compliance standards
- Familiarity with database backup and disaster recovery procedures
- Experience with cloud database technologies including Microsoft Azure SQL Database
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Continuous learning and the ability to stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in database management and optimization
