Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Hybrid Marketing Role
Contribute to the Global strategic vision and position via holistic seasonal marketing plans built around speed and service for the adidas Originals FTW business, ensuring consumer/customers relevance is at the heart of all decisions across all channels from DTC to Wholesale to KA.
Be a change agent for the adidas group to improve how we bring products and concept to market faster, using leaner product creation and milestones processes - building new models outside of adidas current practices.
Managing the creation team in Vietnam and Indonesia - to build speed programs to enhance the way the group creates, executes and services.
Hybrid Creation role
Key interface with HZO team to ensure key business metrics are delivered throughout aligned end to end process ensuring briefs, tech packs and material descriptions, contain achievable fob and RRP targets to ensure net sales, net margin are delivered.
Works with HZO team to build and evolve end to process to deliver, speed and efficiency programs to enhance the way the group creates and executes and services for customers and consumers.
Looks closely at conceptual stages through product life cycles to optimize profit and meet market demands. All aligned with financial and corporate growth objectives in accordance with the Brand Strategy.
Key Accountabilities:
Marketing role
- Contribute to the aadidas Originals FTW vision, strategic objectives and KPI’s in alignment with the overall adidas Originals direction and strategic plans towards speed and service
- Work closely with the VP adidas Originals FTW to build short, mid, and long term BU business plans and take to execution and implementation.
- Develop new products that exceed consumer and customer expectations
- Lead/refine/develop industry leading speed & service models (45 days brief to shelf)
- Lead and work cross functionally to best manage and service the different channels with our FTW offer by developing industry leading product, speed & service models
- Get faster, get leaner, get more efficient and profitable, by refining more processes & roles of marketing, creation, design, to change the game for adidas
- Monitor product financials (sell-in-/ sell-through-rates, number of articles, volumes per article, margins) and initiate business development action for the respective BU.
- Identify business opportunities and risks; respond to them by initiating key action steps and with relevant BU functions and x-functional partners.
- Lead by example, a decision maker able to challenge the status quo to deliver results
- Create a powerful team spirit with a passion towards exceeding short, mid and long term goals and objectives
- Work closely with all cross functional/horizontal teams, (Strategy, Future, Creative Direction, Design, BM, C2C, Ops, sourcing to deliver leading/holistic concepts
- Manages product management resources, ensuring organizational efficiency through appropriate motivation, training and development of direct report(s).
- Creation role
- Steer/lead creation center team in Vietnam & Indonesia to provide competitive advantage for the adidas Brand & adidas Originals across all channels.
- Collaborate with Creation Team of Senior Creation PM’s, Creation PM’s and Asst Creation PM’s to deliver the value add of a team located in Asia
- Drives and implements new supply chain solutions / end-to-end business models to obtain net sales targets, margin requirements and industry leading speed
- Drives the product process and leverages category sourcing strategy to deliver new material and design innovation while meeting gross margin/ profitability objectives Special emphasis on driving Global Key Account business through superior service and right product at right price at right timing
- Nurtures, guides and challenges cross functional departments to ensure product excellence in the market place (design, fabrics, prices, fits, etc)
- Ensures maintenance of all the product information systems
- Effectively meets all process timelines
- Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to provide product leadership, including ability to manage/mentor team
- Unique blend of marketing, development and sourcing experience based on hybrid business model
- Ability to work with and influence all levels of the organization
- Comprehensive understanding of consumer markets, specifically in the sporting goods industry
- Strong business acumen in channel distribution, net sales, margin, profit and inventory
- Prior knowledge of taking product from conception through implementation preferred
- Knowledge of footwear concepts in construction/development strongly preferred
- Good numerical skills with the ability to negotiate
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Ability to effectively present to groups, including members of all organizational levels
