We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a solid background in software engineer and additional knowledge in security or data science (a plus) to join our Security Team at Zalo. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will support various functions such as building, maintaining, and monitoring our systems to ensure they are robust, secure, and efficient. Your security expertise will be utilized to enhance our security operations by automating processes, developing custom tools, and improving our overall security posture.

**What you will do**:

- Architect, design, and develop scalable and secure software solutions;
- Create and implement solutions for large systems, including monitoring, logging, and managing services;
- Solve complex problems related to high-performance computing;
- Design and develop various support tools as needed;
- Collaborate across teams on implemented projects and gather requirements for further development. Participate in technology evaluations and selections to implement new solutions;
- Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of new features and operational tasks;
- Monitor security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools and other security monitoring systems;
- Analyze and investigate security incidents to determine root cause, impact, and severity.

**What you will need**:

- Experience in **software development using Go or Java;**:

- **Experience with asynchronous programming and multi-threading**;
- **Proficient in OS and Linux (scripting, configurations, tuning/optimization);**:

- **Excellent in back-end practices (Micro Services, Caching, Load Balancing, Message Queue, Kafka, etc);**:

- Familiarity with common network protocols (TCP, UDP, HTTP) and network programming;
- Experience with SQL databases;
- Strong research skills and adaptability in learning new technologies;

**Nice to have**:

- Good understanding of algorithms, data structures & database optimization for large systems are plus;
- Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following fields is a strong plus: Incident Response, Forensics, Threat Intelligence, Malware Analysis;
- Strong understanding of security principles, practices, and technologies;
- Technical understanding of data models, mining, and segmentation is a plus;
- Ability to work in a team environment and interact effectively with others;
- Passion for programming, innovation, and solving challenging problems.
