Process Technician

Purpose of the Job (_Mục đích công việc)_:
Carry out reactor processes efficiently & safely according to recipe instruction.

Main Accountabilities (_Trách nhiệm chính)_:

- To carry out proper receipt and handover of information and report during shift hand-over.
- To carry out process/production assigned by the Operations Supervisor during the work shift. Production of the batch includes charging of raw materials, reaction processes, sampling and packing out of finished product from reactor.
- To understand all Standard Operating Procedure or Work Instruction. Do not carry the work if do not understand the instruction or in doubt how to carry it out.
- Ensure process is carried out following Standard Operating Procedure or Work Instruction.
- Actively monitor reaction processes and report any problem of safety, process or quality concerns.
- When assigned, to train new Technician on processes and manufacturing according to recipe instruction and methods.
- To record & report observations to Operations Supervisor when there are abnormal process results or conditions.
- To ensure all processes are carried out safely, with minimum waste of raw material or product, and efficiently.
- To handle equipment with proper care. To report any malfunction of equipment to Operation Supervisor immediately.
- To confer with other technicians & supervisor to report or resolve conditions affecting safety, efficiency, or product quality.
- Regulate or shut down equipment during emergency situations, as directed by supervisor or work-instruction.
- Control or operate chemical process or system of equipment, using panel-boards, control boards, or semi-automatic equipment_._
- Monitor recording instruments, flow-meters, panel lights, or other indicators and attentive to warning signals, to verify conformity of process conditions.
- Draw samples of products to monitor processing and to ensure that standards are met.
- Notify supervisor to correct equipment malfunctions or to adjust power, steam water, or air supplies.
- Record operating data, such as process conditions, test results, or instrument readings
- Move control settings to make necessary adjustments on equipment units affecting speeds of chemical reactions, quality, or yields following Work instruction or guidelines.
- Start pumps and/or open valves to wash and rinse reactor vessels, to exhaust gases or vapors, to regulate the flow of oil, steam, air or water to tower.
- Turn valves to regulate flow of products or semi-finished products through agitator tanks, cooling tanks or storage tanks, or storage drums and IBC.
- Inspect operating units, such as towers, surfactant tanks, condenser, cooling vessels to ensure that all are functioning and to maintain maximum efficiency.
- Interpret chemical reactions visible through sight-glasses and review laboratory test results for process adjustments according to recipe instructions.
- Patrol work areas to ensure that solutions in tanks or troughs are not in danger of overflowing.
- Gauge tank levels, using calibrated sight glass or rod.
- To carry out housekeeping of the processing areas at end of the shift.
- To observe all Company’s Rules & Regulations.

- To ensure all activities are carried out safely and follow the company’s Safety Rules and Guidance. The safety of fellow crew member is the Technician’s responsibility.
- Understand and follow the safety rules of the company
- Technician will be assessed annually for their competency and knowledge of Safety Policy and Rules. Any Technician who fails the assessment 3 times will be considered unfit to carry out the function of Technician.
- To wear standard PPE and special PPE as required by the nature of job carried out.
- To report any incident and accident occurred. Incidents include any unsafe acts such as near misses.
- To act as fire crew or Emergency Team Member when required.
- To implement Site Emergency Action Plan when required.
- Safety rules are to ensure safe working conditions. Failure to follow these may result in injuries or dangerous environment. Disciplinary measure of dismissal or compensation will be taken for failure to observe these rules.
