A Security consultant
- Provides security front door service for business units. Triage, analyse and identify security requirements for a change, co-ordinate next steps for security consultancy engagements.
- Ensures strategic and consistent engagement with business in alignment to service delivery model for security consultancy
- Engages across different teams (architecture, design, engineering, project team) framing and enabling innovation and automation

YOUR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Contribute to delivery of the strategic plan

2.Support respective policy, standards, processes, and controls to meet regulator and compliance expectations

3.Support effective operation of controls and timely completion of findings and treatment plans and closure of engagements

4.Help the delivery and implementation of security capability across security frameworks/ feature functions/ business taxonomy reference architecture.

5.Develop security outcomes that support the organisation security policies and procedures

6.Represent an enterprise-wide security perspective on re-use and optimisation

7.Proactively look for opportunities to simplify security engagements and help the business self-service

8.Collaborate with cross domain business / tech/ arch stakeholders to navigate trade-offs between achieving business value versus adhering to architectural guard-rails and our risk and regulatory obligations

9.Understand and communicate strategic themes

10.Drive architectural decisions via governance forums and drive technology outcomes for Security platforms and engineering outcomes

11.Influence common, solution patterns and drive technology excellence

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Must have:
1.5+ years in an Information Security role with progressive experience

2.Experience in IT Security, Risk and/or Compliance

3.Good understanding of frameworks and industry standards such as NIST CSF, CSA, SOC2, ISO, PCI DSS, MITRE, etc.

4.Experience in assessing and/or designing security controls (Cloud and/or On-Premises), and possess ability to dive into technical details of control implementations

5.Good understanding of broad cloud service offerings. (e.g., Azure, AWS, and Google cloud products/services), and possess technical competency to drive the compliance to cloud security controls

7.Understanding of the system hardening processes, tools, guidelines, and benchmarks.

9.Experience in enforcing Policies and Standards

10.Exposure to enterprise level architectural landscape

Nice to have:

- Prefer big 4/banking background
- Work in a scaled agile structure with a persistent team of project managers and architects.
- Strong business engagement, influencing skills with the ability to navigate complex topics with fact-based analysis.
- Understand the trade-offs involved in technology change while simultaneously delivering business benefit. Requires commercial acumen, business alignment and ability to negotiate.
- Broad IT background (deep Security knowledge)
- CISSP, CISA
